Zachary Bader
Building a strong community for operators in the Web3 space
by Sarah, founder of block-editor.io
GeN3 Magazine recently interviewed Zachary Bader, the partner of Expoverse to discuss their upcoming event in Miami. In collaboration with local governments and social organizations, Expoverse holds conferences that offer experiences, education, and unparalleled networking for the Web3 community. Expoverse is not Bader’s first foray into the event space. In 2016, he launched an event conference for the e-cigarette independent retailer sector, in which Bader also owns a business. He decided the industry needed an event, so they held one down in Columbia. Bader’s wife is actually from Columbia which is the connection that draws him to the region.
Their first conference was wildly successful with 12,000 attendees and 250 US and European vendors. They grew their event business hosting Cannabis and other Counter Culture style expos which are still happening today.
The event company pivoted to Web3 this summer with the first Expoverse event in Los Angeles. The focus in LA was on creators and NFTs. After listening to the audience, Zachary says they will shift to the Miami event this March, which will feature more of the Web3 world outside of just NFTs.
GeN3 magazine will be launching this year in Miami in partnership with Expoverse. This is not the typical magazine and incorporates a patented technology developed by Patrick Skinner of AGAMI in new and unique ways by creating memorable visual experiences. The cover will launch before Expoverse Miami. The 3D animators are amazing and will be putting out a collectible NFT that people can use to scan their way into the event and some after parties. More benefits of holding will be announced prior to Miami.
Expoverse will feature an all-star list of speakers including Edward Snowden, Yat Siu of Animoca, Ben Armstrong of Bitboy Crypto, and over 300 more. A host of Web3 companies will be showcasing their latest and greatest and attendees will get to experience activations, content, and workshops from three additional events taking place. One of those is Web3 earth, which focuses on wallet creation and onboarding new users. The other partner events will be big and Expoverse will be announcing those in the coming days. Outside of the main event center, cocktail hour, VIP lounges, and a host of after parties will be ongoing. The week ends with a pool party at Strawberry Moon.
Bader had one important message he wanted to convey. The landscape of the market has changed dramatically from the first Expoverse to today. Advertising budgets have changed and many companies have gone under. This doesn’t change their goal and vision. Expoverse is concerned with building a strong community for operators in the Web3 space. Without events like Expoverse, the small outlets have trouble getting their message seen. With pitch rooms and top VCs in attendance, Expoverse will always be a platform for connections.
After Miami, they will head back down to Colombia for the third event. The area is beautiful, the people are warm, and Zachary feels the event will be groundbreaking. Logistically, Expoverse has team members in Miami and Colombia and there are just as many people hungry for Web3 content in both places. Expoverse is here to build alongside everyone in the Web3 community and GeN3 is proud to be onboard.
